Thanksgiving Break

What a great break...hard to go back to work.
Wednesday the kids and I were off school. They enjoyed playing outside in the snow. Elise is loving having her friends live next door. Otherwise it was a day of playing games, naps and getting ready for Thanksgiving travel.
Thursday we left at 8 am to head to my sister's house in Ankeny. It was fun to see everyone. Colin loved playing with Henry.
Thursday night we headed to my dad's house in Newton. It was a relaxing night of conversations and laughs. I couldn't believe how well the kids ate at round 2, especially Elise who doesn't eat anything.
Friday Tony and I did some Black Friday shopping at 6:30. After that excursion, we headed for bowling with the whole family.

Once the kids were down for naps, Tony held the fort so my mom, sister, her husband and I could see the new Hunger Games movie. Then it was off to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday with a Mexican dinner.

Sharing in the fun!

Saturday we came home to get caught up. To finish the night we went to the QC Mallards hockey game with another family. Lots of fun! Carly was even made it on the big screen shaking her groove thing. Oh lord we are in trouble!!

Don't mind the kid on the left who was the photo bomb.
Hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend.
