Catch Up on the Summer-Chicago

Sorry for the delay on the end of our summer. Life has been busy. 

The end of July we took Amtrak to Chicago. Everyone loved the train ride.

Colin couldn't believe he was on a train and that it went fast.

Once in Chicago, we headed to the beach by Navy Pier. It was the only hot day our whole time there, so it was perfect. Lots of swimming and sand castle building.

After fun in the sun, we headed for dinner with my cousin Kelsey. It was great to see her. The girls loved hanging out with Kels and Colin was a major flirt.

The next day was brunch at The American Girl store for the girls and I. This was something I vowed never to do. Oh well, the girls had a fun time.

Next were the museums.

The following day we went to the "Bean", Lincoln Park Zoo and Wrigley. The girls walked 8 miles. They were rock stars. 

We even stopped for some Garrett's popcorn. 

We all enjoyed Chicago. The kids want to go back soon.
