We had a gift certificate for a hotel stay in Rock Island, and decided to use it this weekend. We checked in Saturday afternoon for some swimming. The girls got right into jumping, splashing parents and trying all types of tricks. It took Colin the majority of our time in the pool to get comfortable. By the end he would lay on his belly and kick while Tony or I would get him to the wall. Colin would the yell,"I made it." He was so proud of himself.
Next we went to dinner at a restaurant connected to the hotel. After that it was time to hangout in the room.
Sunday morning dad got Dunkin Dounuts. He got bonus points with that trip.
It was a great way to change up the weekend with the kids, but we are all ready to sleep in our own beds tonight.
