Colin Turns 2

In addition to Carly's dance recital, Colin turned 2 on June 1st. Tony, my mom and I blew up latex Car balloons and placed them outside his room. He loves to hit balloons around. We found that out from our babysitter Nikki. We made cupcakes and placed Car tops on each cupcake. As you can see, Colin is in love with Disney Cars.

When Colin woke up, he was very excited about the balloons. Colin then stayed with Elise and Grandma Greta while Tony and I went to Carly's recital. Once home, we went out to lunch for his birthday. Colin wasn't having that, so him and I went outside to see a fire truck drive by. He was more excited about that then anything.

Once home, we got out the cupcakes and sang happy birthday. Colin cried the entire time, until we blew out his candles and took off the cupcake wrapper. Mess time was on.

Opening presents was quite interesting with Elise. Elise started opening each present for Colin, but then it turned into her opening all the presents. She wasn't happy when Colin wouldn't share his new cars with her. Colin loves his new sleeping bag. It is now in his crib for bedtime.

 Tony thinks it is great having "boy toys" in the house now. Hopefully Colin will turn away from Barbie dolls now. :)
